Cool Error.../Desktop/Floppy Device is of type FSDevice but has no Dev=...entry

I am new to OpenSuse and KDE. Have cd drive up and running, but when I try to use the floppy disk drive, I get the error message, "The desktop entry file
/home/sue/Desktop/Floppy Device
is of type FSDevice but has no Dev=... entry." I tried to find out if it is the diskettes or the drive or just the installation, but am too new to Linux to know what I am doing. Yast does not show the floppy drive, but does show the cd drive and all other hardware. Any ideas?

Hmm, never seen that in SuSE. To do it by hand:
Code:
mount /dev/fd0 /media/floppy
Then the device should be there. Prior to that make sure /media/floppy exists.

Next open (e.g. with Kate or Kwrite) /etc/fstab and have a look whether an entry for /dev/fd0 is there. If not add a line like this:
Code:
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto,async 0 0
For the rest of the options see
Code:
man fstab
HTH.
