error compiling epcam


Hi
I am installing creative webcam model no PD1001 and chipset EP800 on RHEL4 and kernel version-2.6.9-42.after extracting epcam-src.0.7.3 source,at comipling time i get this error.


root@localhost usb]# make

What instructions did you follow? Shouldn't your code be unpacked into the kernel source tree?

Hi
Yes code is unpacked in kernel tree but after the command "modprbe epcam" dmesg say "epcam: Unknown symbol remap_pfn_range".
tell me what i do now....

Around 2.6.11 there seems to have been a change in kernel code wrt remap_pfn_range(). Try find a version of webcam module source that is older?
