Post error compiling dlink DFE-520TX PCI adapter driver source code


I need to install a NIC.My system is Mandrake linux
kernel 2.4.8-22mdk.Untar and uncompress of Driver sources
dlkfet.tgz(came on cdrom) was successful.Next the " make install" command gives
error :-
kernel sources not configured.
Missing version.h. stop .
though i have linux kernel sources 2.4.8 installed under /usr/src.
I am an absolute linux novice,please help.
