Error: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: updates

Hi,
When i tried to call yum install tftp-server I got this error:

# yum install tftp-server
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...ta/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2009 10:51:31 GMT
Server: Apache
Content-Length: 254
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: updates

my yum.conf is:

[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
keepcache=0
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=redhat-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=1
obsoletes=1
gpgcheck=1

plugins=1
metadata_expire=1800

# PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN separate files named file.repo
# in /etc/yum.repos.d

I have configured fedora-core.repo
fedora-updates.repo & fedora-extras.repo to be:

[core]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch
baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/$releasever/$basearch/os/
mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=core-$releasever&arch=$basearch
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY

[updates]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Updates
baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/$releasever/$basearch/
mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/updates-released-fc$releasever
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora

[extras]
name=Fedora Extras $releasever - $basearch
#baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/extras/$releasever/$basearch/
mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-extras-$releasever
enabled=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-extras
gpgcheck=1

Still I can't use yum command (only yum --version = 3.0)

Please advice.

Best regards,
Noam
