Error 18 during boot... Plz Help

Hi.. I'm using SuSE 10 SP1 with Windows XP on my laptop. On Jan 4th, when I switched on my laptop, it dint boot. It said GRUB loading and then gave a message - ERROR 18. Exactly after 2 days, everything was back to normal. Again, 2 days back I got the same message - ERROR 18. And today, its back to normal again.

What is the cause of this behaviour? And how to get rid of this?

Plz HELP...

hi,

Appears that grub needs to be reinstalled, grub should go to the MBR. Also see where your /boot partition resides.

Let's check what other say about this error.

But without doing anything it is showing this message. It was working perfectly and all of a sudden it stopped booting. How can this happen?
