LinuxQuestions.org - Erro linux Red Hat 2.4.20-8, system halted..fica ai e não passa

Hello guys, I'm new to this forum and would like some help if possible.

have an operating system Red Hat Linux release 9 and kernel 2.4.20-8 i686, is having problems at startup, the lines of errors is as follows:

first: Id "a1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

is there .. and when I press enter and asks the roor password:
place and start from there and gives the next error that stands still:

flushing ide devices: hda hdc hdd
system halted.

is there still and never leaves.

if someone can help me ..

Olá pessoal, sou novo aqui neste fórum, e gostaria de uma ajuda se possivel.

tenho um sistema operacional Linux Red Hat release 9 e kernel 2.4.20-8 i686, está apresentando problemas na inicialização, as linhas de erros é a seguinte:

primeira: Id "a1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

fica ai..e quando pressiono enter pede o roor e senha:
coloco e começa a partir e ai dá o próximo erro que fica parado:

flushing ide devices: hde hdc hdd
system halted.

fica ai parado e não sai mais.

se alguém puder me ajudar..
