Ergonomic Mouse Problem

I had severe carpal tunnel syndrome and have been using Mousetool in Windows. Mousetool enables you to not have to click your mouse. It is simply the best way to heel carpal tunnel syndrome. I have just had my hard drive partitioned and now have both Linux and Windows. IS THERE ANY COMPARABLE PROGRAM LIKE MOUSETOOL FOR LINUX? What are people with carpal tunnel syndrome doing in Linux? Thanks for all help!

What do you do instead of clicking then? You can do hover focus in most DE/WM, meaning that you just move the mouse over a window to make it active, but you would still need to click buttons and such.

Do you press a key on the keyboard to simulate a click with this software on Windows?

Mousetool

With Mousetool you just position the cursor over that which you wish to click and the Mousetool software clicks for you. It is simply fabulous as it eliminates the most critical cause of carpal tunnel syndrome - repeated clicking. But I have yet to find the equivalent in Linux. Can anyone help or know how to write the code to add this feature to Linux? Thanks. Mousetool is available at Mousetool.com.
