I had an Epson CX-something or other and it had built-in diagnostics and adjustments that you could run from the printer control panel. Have you checked those, particularly looking for calibration and alignment settings?

I was unable to find an SX200 at the Epson website, but I did find a Stylus Color 200. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...0&prodoid=8253
