Enabling Wireless device in ubuntu
 
I am using ubuntu 10.04 on lenovo g430, last night I switch off the device while it was connected to network and shut down the computer. But after that i switch on the device was disabled.I use to enable the device through Fn+F5 key which controls the device in windows but the keys does not work in ubuntu.
I am using broadcom 802.11g device.Please help me.

the key stroke problem well you know it is up to you to configure it. Mine is f2 on a dell which drove me nuts. read this all the way down. Then you will find the distro debian mint 10 seems to have it a little better.

Drove me nuts too. Didn't know I'd hit the key, thought the wireless was broke and was dreading the warranty call.

Two weeks later I actually noticed the key and hit it on purpose and the wireless was back.
