emacs #filename# file question

I used emacs and it generated another file of the one I was looking at but enclosed in # signs.

How do I delete a file enclosed in # signs?? OR for that matter - do anything with a file enclosed in # signs????

wise men create wise sayings - others just repeat them:cool:

Those get created if you kill emacs while editing and
it doesn't get a chance to actually save the changes.

To delete them try a rm \# (escape the #) ...

Cheers,
Tink

Thanks Tink

Yes, I did accidently create this file while working with emacs

And.... you may surely have an 'afero' whatever the heck that is:newbie:

#files# are life savers, I recovered many lines of code with them.
