elinks and w3m

Hi,

1 - I'm using the elinks text browser and I would like to know if is it possible to set spelling checker and show inline images in elinks? If so, why?

2 - In the text browser w3m in emacs, how can I enable link numbering in the browser by default?

Thanks,

I only solved part of the question, but enough for me.

- It's possible to configure the editor in the configuration menu at elinks ( Setup->Option Manager->Document->Browsing->Forms->External Editor ). Then, I use the spelling check of the editor. To use the editor, you must select first a text area of and html page an press CTRL-T.

- I think it's not possible to display inline images in bash. Maybe someone add this feature one day.

- Since I've got elinks, I don't need no more w3m.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. I doubt that displaying images will be added to a text based browser anytime soon but I might be mistaking.

Kind regards,

Eric

Yes elinks, links (When compiled with graphics) and w3m all support images with X. I personally use FEH and it works great.

For cli based browsers try 'links -g <URL>.
