Eeebuntu Won't boot on eeepc 901 20gb ssd

Hi,

I have an eeepc 901 20 gb ssd with eeebuntu installed through a USB

It had been working perfectly, but one morning the OS refused to boot. It went through the normal boot procedures and the eeebuntu logo came up, but when the boot up procedure was being printed on screen, it stopped and left me without a OS.

I attempted to reinstall via USB but was unsuccessful.

Thanks for the help,

Chris

Did you try to boot the live CD and use fsck on the SSD? To not overuse the SSD, I'd advise to get 2GB of RAM and dispose of swap. Did that with my EeePC 701 4G and have been happy ever since (boots quickly, runs smoothly).

For a X-less live CD, I recommend Finnix.

M.
