eee-pc and bluetooth pairing question
Hi all - I am new to this forum and linux or more specifically xandros, but I have a question on how to pair a jabra bluetooth to a usb bluetooth adapter. I looked a various posts, and have successfully identitfied the adapter, address, it is up and working. Then when I reset the adapter with /etc/init.d/bluetooth restart, I get a message that says hidd hcid sdpd can't listen of hid control channel, permission denied hidd rfcomm.
I looked up the message and found a response for regular linux, to edit the hcid.conf file but I have not found that file on the asus eee 701. Is it possible to pair the jabra to the blue adapter for skype? I have three different adapters, I sudo hciconfig hci0 up shows they are all visible, but can not find any other devices, jabra or phone. Thanks for any suggestions in advance!! |
The Xandros shipped with the EeePC 701 is very outdated & does not support a lot of hardware very well. I suggest dumping it in favor of a more modern & robust distro such as Ubuntu Netbook Remix.
For something more EeePC specific, you can also try Eeebuntu or Easy Peasy. |
