editing XF86Config for MSI FX5600 VTDR-128
Hello,
Complete newby here, thus I'm New, Man.
I'm installing Red Hat Linux 9 on a new PC with an MSI FX5600 VTDR-128 video card which is supposed to be Linux compatible. Linux boots but it's only visible in text mode. I understand from other threads that I have to edit the XF86Config file to make it recognize the video card. I can do that but I don't know what the correct values should be.
Within the XF86Config file it currently reads:
Driver "vesa"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "VESAdriver (generic)"
What values should be written in to make Linux recognize the video card?
Thanks in advance.
