editing the fstab

when somone tells you to edit the fstab...are you just suposed to use kwrite or any text editor?

Most linux configuration files, including fstab, are in plain text. Any plain text editor can be used. Just don't use a word processor, because they put all kinds of non-plain-text stuff in.

Yeah when editing configs, dont use word processors, i prefer simple CLI ones like nano and Joe for most stuff, or GUI like kedit and gedit when having to copy and paste alot

I use gedit, nano or vim. SO I'd suggest you use kedit if you are using KDE. NEVER use a word processor like Openoffice or Koffice to edit a text file.
