Editing rc.modules

Hello All,

I am finally getting my system fine tuned. So i'm addressing convenience issues now.

As I understand, the rc.XXXXX files control boot up configuration, similar to autoexec.bat in DOS. So my question, if I edit rc.modules to include,

modprobe ndsiwrapper

Will it cause a problem. Also what rc file would I add

dhcpcd wlan0 ?

Lastly, I have installed stella from the prompt how do I get the link or shortcut added to KDE so I can just hit an icon?

thanks in advance

Is it correct to assume you're running Slackware? Adding "/sbin/modprobe ndiswrapper" to your /etc/rc.d/rc.modules is fine. If you want to configure your wireless interface to use DHCP, then you can do so in /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf. There's probably another way to do it, but that's how I do it.
