edimax ew-7318usg openSuse 11 - make - problem
 
I cant figure out what this error means :

linux-jof5:~/Desktop/edimax/rt73-k2wrlz-3.0.1/Module # make

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `modules'. Stop.

rt73.ko failed to build!
make: *** [module] Error 1


It sounds stupid but i did installed it few months ago and everything worked fine like dream, no installation errors. Im using same drivers same suse DVD, same packages installed like the first time. If any sugestions, please do write. Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You probably do not have to install drivers for an rt73usb device, manually. Edimax cards use ralink chipsets which are natively supported by Linux. What you need to try is run YaST and go to the network device section to see if the card is recognised. If it is recognised all you need to do is configure it with your wireless settings.

Thanks for the help. I just did solved the problem. Yes it should have support for edimax, but i dont know why it didn't work. Googleing i found post for error instaling nvidia driver i tried my luck instaling kernel source.. and tried to install driver, and all is running fine now.. Thanks again !!! It means alot to me to have help.
