eclipse not running after installing distro

I have just formatted Xubuntu's / partition excluding /home where eclipse & STS where working fine but now after installing debian stretch, when I click on eclipse executable, nothing happens.

When I try to open it via terminal, it says

Code:
bash: ./eclipse: No such file or directory
I also removed .metadata from the workspace, but still it is not working.

What is the problem with eclipse & STS ?

Eclipse is normally NOT installed into your home folder
but into
/opt
or
/local/usr
or
/usr

now there ARE config files in your home folder

reinstall it
Code:
su -
apt-get update
apt-get install eclipse

Thanks John VV for the reply.

I got the solution. Earlier, I used the 32 bit OS, so it was working, now I installed 64 bit OS, so both eclipse & STS were failing to open. After using 64 bit eclipse, both are working now.
