easyrpmi i586 vs i686

Hi

I've been put onto easyurpmi.zarb.org as a better way to updated and install new progs for Mandrake10.1.

One thing I'm not sure about is what to define my cpu architecture as. My AMD system is defined as i686 by KDE but at easyrpmi the closest I can select is i586.

Does this matter?

guess not
wish there was a i686 optimized for faster cpus

i386, i486, i586 and i686 will work fine on your system. Mandrake tends to optimise most packages for i586, so there is not problem there.
