eagle-usb-2.3.2 and Linux Kernels
Hello, people.
I am on Fedora Core 4 with a 2.6.11-1.1369 Kernel and I use a Sagem Fast 800 USB to connect to my Greek ADSL ISP. I have installed eagle-usb 2.3.2 for quite some time and it works just fine. The problem is this: Every time yum updates my distro with the newest kernel, I have no longer ADSL after rebooting with the new kernel. I tried to reconfigure, make, make install eagle-usb with the new kernels but no success. On tail -f /var/log/messages i get something about "usb disagrees about some struct" or something like that. As a matter of fact, it seems that this eagle-usb-2.3.2 only works with kernel 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 which was shipped with FC4 release. What is happening? Am I stuck with this kernel or am doing something wrong? |
Hello
you need to upgrade the kernel source along with the kernel. eagle-usb needs the kernel source of the kernel running. Check this on your machine before compiling eagle-usb driver. |
