dvd problem


i have a dvd writer,its working properly in windows.
in linux i can use cd, but can't use the dvd. help

Alright, think you could grace us with a little more info here?

What kind of burner is this? IDE, USB, SATA? What distribution are you on, what software are you using, can you read DVDs but just not burn them? Do you get an error message?

Can you tell us anything that might help finding the problem?
