dvd playback issues in mythbuntu 10.04
 

I have an HP Pavillion a450n I installed mythbuntu on. All I want to do is be able to watch Hulu.com and play movies on here. I cannot get my dvd player to play anything. When I had windows I had no problem. mythbuntu recognizes I have a dvd player but will not let me play them. I have gone to the synaptic package manager and downloaded anything and everything related to dvd playing, I still have issues.
Any suggestions?

Or I believe if you install VLC it has all of that by default. As far as Hulu, one of my favorite places, you need java and flash installed for it to work. Make sure Ubuntu-restricted-extras is installed.

it has been a while ,but hulu worked fine with the mplayer firefox plugin

But i seem to remember that hulu and NBC made changes to some of hulu to include Microsoft DRM in some of the videos ?

i just checked on Stargate Continuum it plays in firefox with adobe flash installed
On OpenSUSE 11.3 64 bit .
