DVD playback in SuSE 9.2

Ok, Here's the scoop. I am running SuSE 9.2 on a fairly new Machiene that I built. I can't figure out how to watch dvd's on it. Every time I opened xine and clicked on the dvd button, It would tell me that for legal reasons it was unable to play dvd's. There was no error number with the message.

I uninstalled everything that had to do with xine from the machiene in hopes that there was a better program for watching dvd's. IS there a better program? If so, how do I get/install it? If you have any insight, please use plane simple English because I am not yet programed to understand anything else.

...Don't get me wrong, I'm not as think as you dumb I am! (lol)

Thanks!

I can't post links yet, but if you Google "dvd playback howto" the first result should be a page at tdlp.org. Section 3.5 tells how to configure DVD playback on SuSE (Xine or MPlayer).
