DVD burning

When I burn DVD's, the actual burning process goes well, but I cannot read the dvd (not in the writer, not in a DVD-ROM drive). It shows up as an empty drive. I burned the disc with the k3b defaults, except for the option 'no multisession'.

try running dvd+rw-mediainfo see what that says. Only thing I can tell you is try different media. If its a movie your trying to burn to dvd it must meet the dvd specs or it will not play.

ok, solved the problem. The disc simply wasn't closed.
Just for the record, I closed it with
Code:
dvdrecord -fix -dev /dev/hdd
