duplicated title line in Ubuntu 11.10
 

hy everyone,
I'm having some problem with my Ubuntu 11.10 which I installed some weeks ago.
When I installed Ubuntu the frame of the window was combined with the line that has the clock, system button, etc.
I tried to install compiz and I didn't succeed, I think because of ATI driver problems. So the sidebar disappeared ... almost all the interface disappeared and I could only repair it by removing compiz and the newly installed ATI driver, which is okay, now everything is working, except the top of the window is something like duplicated which is unnecessary and a bit ugly. How could I return to the old window system?
