duplicate klamav icons in system tray

Every time I logout or restart my machine 1 more klamav icon appears in my
system tray. Currently 11 klam icons appear. I used ps -A command (which
shows running processes I think ?) and found 11 instances of klamav. How
can this be stopped ? Is uninstalling clam and/or klam the easy fix or have I
broken something ? I have only 1 year of pc (XP) experience and am hopelessly
new to linux. Dual booting Suse 9.2 with XP.

are you using klamav to search your linux system for viruses or something?
unless your doing something risky you probably won't get a virus under linux
killall klamav should work

Get rid of Klamav you really do not need AV running.

All you really need (if that) is to have clamav set up to read your email.

Thankyou for the responses . I use P2P and also forward emails .
Running av is more of a courtesy to those who are running other
OS's than any concern for my own system. I have removed klam
- problem solved. Will install again when I have more experience.
Killall was a new command to me. Thanks again.
