Could you please be a bit more specific rather
than loud? It would help to know what you are
talking about, I believe that no one here is
clearvoyant...

Did you install your Wine as a Linux-only
install, or is it pointing to a real WinXX?

Where do the files/folders you create live?

Besides that: you could just open a terminal
from your normal user account, type su -, give
your root password, create the folder and exit
again ... there's NO call for loging out and in.

Cheers,
Tink

no its a linux only install, and as far as my folders and such they live in /usr/share/wine-c as a "fake" windows directory structure.

but even when i do su and try to cut and paste or create a new directory by right clicking and going through the menu I get access denied : can not move /bla/bla.exe and i know the permissions are set to allow this.

as for being loud THIS IS BEING LOUD no where in my post do you see SHOUTING.lol

Well, if you're absolutely sure about the permissions ...
maybe you can't move them because they are being
accessed?

I would consider 32 exclamation marks as
shouting, even if you don't use CAPS ;)
