Dual monitor XF86free setup

Hi,

I have just installed an G200 Matrix 8mb graficcard into my PCI slots in my computer and connected a Sony screen to it.
As AGP card I have a Nvidia 4200 and a Philips 21" monitor.

How do I find what to write in XF86free for the second monitor to become active ??

(the setup works pnp in windows, so everything should be ok)

I believe you have to enable the "TwinView" in the "Device" section. Check the NVIDIA README for more details.

Hi,

Finally my two screens work.
What I did was to download and install the driver from www.matrox.com -> find it through google though.

The final step was to add the "sdram" option in the Device section of XF86Config-4
I also did some changes in my BIOS graphic card section, but weather it had any influence, I don't know.

I List my XF86Config-4 here, maybe someday it will help someone :-)

Thanks!

TroelsSmit, thanks so much for your Xserver conf file, it was so much more useful to me than a readme file! Got my FX 5500 running in no time thanks to you.

Cheers! :D
