ok

well, i got a 80 gig drive with windowsxp, and a 8 gig drive with linux Redhat 9

now i want to be able to boot up to either or......

my xp is set to hd0
and redhat is hd1

in bios



ok,
and i try running the first cd to see if i can reconfigure grub.....and i update it, and it does nothing.....still boots to windows
(note- this is when the windows drive is selected in bios and NOT the redhat one)

maybe my little note is where i went wrong,

is there any commands i can enter into the grub file that would make this happen

using a boot disk, i am able to boot to redhat graphical interface

is there maybe a way to change it in there,
please help me out!

Where was the bootloader installed? If in the mbr it should be the first thing you see. You may need to reinstall lilo/grub.
