Dual booting WIndows 7 and openSUSE 12.1
 

Will this configuration allow me to choose between opensuse and Windows 7 whenever I turn on my computer? If not, what should I change? The thinks that are blacked out are like that for safety reasons, really aren't that important.

No, because according to that screenshot, you're only setting up a swap and a root partition, which means that only one OS can be installed. Do you have additional partitions that are not displayed there?

There are 4 partitons.
2 NTFS
1 EXT3
1 SWAP
thats it. If it didnt show up there does that mean that windows will be deleted? The openSUSE installer is really confusing compared to other ones I have used. Slackware and Debian were easier...

Well its only partitioning /dev/{sda3,sda4} so I am assuming windows in stalled on /dev/{sda1,2} according to grub it says that the first 2 sections are windows partitions. So I would say yes but... Why are you not installing grub on the MBR(Master boot Record)? Anyways that is what I got out of the picture.

Should I install it to the MBR? would that allow me to dual boot successfully? I wanna be sure on everything because last time I did this I was ignorant and naive and cleared my hard drive in less than a second.

For the most part Yes unless your bios can't boot that big of a harddrive which it should considering your system specifications its looks like your pretty upto date. But its always safe to backup your windows info before proceeding just incase you do make a mistake.

Ok a couple more questions and that should be it:
How do I exactly install GRUB to the MBR? There is an option that says this in the photo:
Boot from MBR is disabled(enable)

is that what I have to do, if not, then how do I install Grub, and what is that option for?

Its a option some where to select to install grub to the mbr. So if you see somewhere it says install grub to mbr disable/enable and you can select enable that probably would be it. I can say for sure because I haven't install opensuse in a while.

I went ahead and chose to boot from MBR. I read that you should use this if you are dual booting Windows and Linux. I think that answers everything. Thanks for your help.
