Dual booting problems

Hi there I have been trying to setup a dual boot system with windows xp and Fedora Core 4 I have sucessfully added FC4 to the windowsboot menu, but when I select Fedora it takes me to a page that just says GRUB and a flashing cursor suggesting to type somethimg but you cannot type anything. How do I get round this problem any assistance would be much appreciated

Thanks
Graeme

I think you could not configure bootloader with windows properly. Try it again.

I've had trouble with fedorcore 4 booting as well.. On 1 install grub would only boot the smp kernel , even though the other kernel was included (properly) in the grub boot stanza.
A live disk would be a nice thing to have, as you would be able to edit the grub menu easily.. You should still be able to boot fedora core by passing the option to grub , though you will need to know the syntax... I'm lost with how you added anything to the winblos boot menu.. Does the fedoracore4 cd recovery disk help? I don't have one, and don't know the particulars of it.
