Dual booting Mandrake & WinXP in different HDD


Hello World...
Hi Guys,
Could you please help me out...How can i dual boot my PC w/ Mandrake 10 and WinXP on different hard drives...my Mandrake resides in my Primary HDD w/ a capacity of 80G and my WinXP is on my Secondary Master w/ a capacity of 40G...it is possible to dual boot them?

Of course!
I guess you installed Mandrake with the windows HDD disconnected (?) and therefor don't have a windows entry in your bootloader.
Just make sure both disks are connected and start Mandrake. Start the configuration utility and look for the boot loader configuration utility (I'm sorry , don't remember the exact names) you should be able to include a line for windows and hoose which system you'd like to be the default system.

The boot loaders would be LILO or GRUB. If you use one of these you will be able to dual boot.

yes...i've connected both..ok!i'll try it...what would be on my primary master?linux or win?

Windows would need to be on the primary master hard drive so my advice would be to install Windows first then to install Linux. Choose either the LILO or GRUB boot loader when in Linux and your set! The Windows would be listed as other on the list.
