dual booting Linux Mint and Xubuntu
I have installed Linux Mint on my laptop, using the whole disc and trashing Windows. What I would like to know is, can I install Xubuntu and dual boot between the two. I have a 40GB drive, so space shouldn't be a problem. I really like Mint, but also would like to tryout Xubuntu further. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

of course you can..there exists no problem.

If you have 1 partition for mint, you can shrink the partition, and create a new one for xubuntu.
However, I would suggest to start from zero, create 2 partitions, and install mint to one, and xubuntu to the other. Grub will be installed automaticly. Good luck |
Thanks to both of you, the problem is solved. I tried Xubuntu and didn't like it. I'm not bashing it, but Linux Mint is far better in so many ways. The home screen is beautiful, the features are easy to understand and it's all around a better distro. I feel that I will enjoy it for years to come.
