Dual Booting - Clock Setting
 

Dual booting suselinux with Windows 7, when I boot into either OS I need to reset the PC clock. The clock is off by 6 hours, which coincidentally is the difference between my time zone and GMT, -6 hours. Its not six hours behind but rather six hours ahead of my local time. My interpretation the setting for my local time zone is not being saved?
Or are they being overridden by the OS'es?

Both OS have the same time zone setting, Central Standard Time USA, any thoughts?

I thinks this is because Suse saves the UTC/GMT time into the BIOS hardware clock while using the OS to adjust for the timezone. Windows doesn't do that, it just saves the local time.

I believe there's a way to change this behavior. Rummage around Yast for it. ;)

Found it under yast as you suggested. Set to pull local time from my server on boot. Intial tests have pulled the local time and reset the PC time to the correct local time. See how window reacts, should be ok though with time on both being the same
