You got me there. Actually I don't upgrade. What for? This isn't windows. I wait for a new distro, and then reinstall. However I am thinking of using yum. Just tell me, does yum upgrade the kernel also?

I think so. When I used it I saw some kernel activities. But, as you know, I am still new with yum. The only reason I do it is because I get this red ! in the sys tray that tells me to upgrade. I also decided to do it because of the error message i got from the boot loader. It said reboot with floppy and upgrade due to possible virus.

I am done. No more trying. I will use floppy for Linux and that is the end of it. I will keep each hard drive as a backup for the other. Since I have hda formatted with FAT32, I will use a backup script to backup my data in each drive to the other. This way my floppy drive is free for the boot.

Thanks everyone for trying to assist me.

Peace.
