Dual Boot Windows/Linux

Hello all
Very new to linux OS and I apologize if I'm posting a exising thread, but I was wondering if anyone could help me with, how to dual boot windows and linux. I've tried a couple of instructions from certain websites and so far have come up with nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to LQ.

This has been asked numerous times - try the search.

Basically:
1) install windows
2) install linux with grub or lilo as the bootloader on the mbr
3) If the distro install hasn't done if for you just add an option to your bootloader config to boot windows.

Please write what you've tried (plus: which distros you tried and which Windows version you have)..
