Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Distribution: Red Hat 7.3, Mandrake 8.2, Windows XP, Windows Me
I've never had any good experience with 98. I used to use 95osr2, and that was pretty good. All i use Windows Me for now is just to reinstall XP, since i've got a non-bootable cd. I do have to agree with you though, Windows Me is pretty crap. I used it before i started using XP, and it ran fine. I installed it on my parent's PC, and it crashes all the time. I'm going to replace it with 2000 Pro.

Excellent choice if your going to stick with MS on dual or single boot Win 2K Pro is the best out there (especially with service pack 3). Im running XP pro dual with Rh 7.2 the only reason I have XP is that I had a couple of probs with some games in Win 2K.
