dual boot

Hello
unfortunately having loads of problems installing win2k and rh 9 on a 60gb hdd. I know this is about as straightforward as it gets, but after 5 days of getting things different ways round i am exasperated. I am using fdisk to format the drive, 20gb for the win2k, 10gb for fat32 and the rest for rh 9. i set the 20gb as active and the fat32 as extended logical drive d:
when i come to install rh 9 it just will not accept the partitions. I have tried other combinations but must be missing something really simple. Also - how do I "see" a second disk drive from linux? when i have managed to get it set up to some degree i cannot see past the primary mount "/" so don't understand how i can share between the OS 's
Thank you very much for considering this.

Have you tried leaving part of your drive blank. The when you run RH let it format that space. Oh...make sure you make the RH active. I have XP and RH on seperate hd's and if I make XP active then GRUB just sits there never loading anything. Hope this helps
