Question Dsl usb modem Problem

Hello , I run suse 10 64 bit and recently I bought sagem 800 fast usb-modem for my dsl connection.I downloaded the eagle-usb-3.3.2 driver and after the installation i typed
sudo eaglectrl -w and sudo startadsl (commands from readme file) and everything worked fine....
I then made online update from suse's official download site
and in response i couldn't get my dsl run...
I tryied the ssame commands and gave me costiuantly this error:
"unable to send cmvsto drive :Inappropriate ioctl for device
Failed to send cmvs to device /proc/bus/usb/002/002"
1.Should Ireinstall the driver?
2.What does this problem means?
3.Do I need to run to startup any programms such as smpppd or others?

Thank you for reading this message and helping me with your knowledge

P.S usb montems for dsl sucks among with "having no money for
montem/router"

Hello
If the kernel has been updated, you must reinstall the eagle-usb driver with the kernel source of the new running kernel, because it is compiled for a specific kernel and so works only with the kernel it was compiled for.
