DSL Debian User Needs Working DVD Player, easy install.
 
I use DSL a Debian distro but need an easily installable DVD player. My knowledge of Linux Shell is ... uh ... BAAAAAD....sooooo....I need a simple method.
Any thoughts?

You must mean a software dvd player well there's a few to chose from. first

apt-get install libdvdcss mplayer
or you could try xine ogle vlc

If you mean a dvd drive I think you have to go out and buy one of those. nowdays even the dual layer burners are cheap.

try apt-get install synaptic wihich is a gui frontend to apt which makes installing progs alot easier for noobs
