DS-XG and REdhat 8.0
 

I've got redhat 8

running on a dell dimension
P3 600 mHz
256 MB RAM

I've got DS-XG sound card on my motherboard.

in mandrake 7.1, I installed the alsa sound suite adn got perfect support for this device.

Now with rh8.0, which comes with the alsa drivers......I only get sound in certain applications. I can't play mp3s and......system sounds in kde dont work either

any ideas as to where I should start to adress these issues?
