Beside for newer graphic cards I seldomly need to download any extra drivers.
Are you having problems with a certain device?
If a lspci and finding them in lsmod I'd say you already have all needed drivers....

hi,

I need the ethernet drivers& storage drivers for HP ML PROLIANT ML110 G5.

How do you know you actually need the drivers and that the hardware won't work with RHEL?

RHEL3 hits EOL(End of Life) at the end of this month(Oct 31,2010), next year. After that there will be no updates of any kind. You will find better hardware support in newer version of RHEL (5.4 being current, supported until 2014). If you cannot afford the support license, Centos is RHEL with the logos removed. Centos is free to download/update(unlike RHEL) and is binary compatible with RHEL.

hi,

thanks for the update. but the reason to stick with RHEL 3.0 is that our application is compiled for RHEL 3.0. thats the reason i need to install RHEL 3.0,

do you have the drivers of site referance for that?

thanks in advance
Nirmit

I agree with Nylex. How do you know that you need the drivers? Can you post any error messages that you are getting when trying to install RHEL 3.0. Some servers require initial hard drive setup before you can install an operating system. Check on the CDs that accompany the server for information on how to do that.

IF it can be done on 3.X you would have far better luck by using up2date to bring yourself up to the most current 3.X kernel, which will have the best support for the 3.X line. It it a pretty rare application that will run on just 3.0 and not the rest of the 3.X line.

Beyond that, contact RH that is what your subscription fee is meant to cover.
