I have ubuntu 8.04 and the drivers will not come up in hardware drivers and i can not get the full graphics as a result.Every one says it should just appear but it dosent so i am stuck with the standerd graphics.I am at a loss any help would bee greatly apreaceated thank you.
Go to nvidia's internet site and see if they have drivers for your thing. They probably will. Are this diferrent from Ubuntu's things? Don't know but probably, being non-free.
Install said drivers following their instrutions. You may need kernel-headers package or linux-source package, called something like that.
I received an email from nividia saying that they are aware of the lack of support in the current driver for the 9500 GT, and that support will be in the next build.
The envy package manager - or whatever you call it - says that the card is unrecognised.
