Your drive uses a SCSI interface. No special driver other then the SCSI tape module st should be required to use the drive. If this is the only tape drive connected to the computer its device ID will be /dev/st0 (automatic rewind) and /dev/nst0 ( will not rewind after completion of command) The utility mt is useful in checking the tape drives status.
You can use any of the linux backup utility i.e. tar to write to tape.
