Driver for intel raid controller for D955XBK motherboard chipset
I'm new to linux and have just installed SUSE 11.0 64bit x86 to my computer with a D955XBK motherboard that I have a raid 0 array (with 4 disk drives) setup with the SiI 3114 softraid 5 controller. First, the SUSE would not install properly with the raid drives connected. During the install, the raided drives look like four separate drives with the install trying to create the linux partition on one of these drives. I had to disconnect the raid drives to install the linux distro. Now that I have it installed, how do I mount the raid volume so that I can see it with SUSE. I've reconnected the drives and can dual boot the machine and the Windows partition can see the raided drives and when I boot to linux, I don't see the drives.
Do I need to install a raid driver so that I can see the drive in SUSE or is there a way to mount the raid partition.
I've have a experience with SGI IRIX OS but have not played around with linux. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
