Drive access from both Windows and Linux

I am about to install Suse 10 on my new hard drive, dual boot with an existing XP.

I would like to have a place on my drive which can both be accessed and written by Suse and XP (to exchange files).

I thought I ask before I install it.

I searched for this, but since I don't really know what I am looking for...

Before you install Suse make sure to make space for both Linux and a fat32 partition, that way the fat32 partition can be accessed by both OSes. Another pointer is to make a separate partitions for / and for /home so that, should you mess up or change the version of linux, all your personal data will be retained.
