Question DRI on ASUS EEE

Hi,
I apologize if this issue already came up, but I really searched hard before posting here...
I have an ASUS EEE 901, running Slackware with a kernel 2.6.32

Quote:
Linux invismini 2.6.32.2-eeepc #16 SMP Thu Feb 25 16:35:39 GMT 2010 i686 Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N270 @ 1.60GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
My graphic card is an intel 945GME:

Quote:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
my xorg is 1.4.2 (that came with slackware 12), and I installed recently libdrm

However, I am unable to activate the dri, at least according to glxinfo:

Also, my glxgears output is really bad!!! :-(

However, the output of var/log/Xorg0.log seems to be ok...
Here are some relevant bits:

Does anybody managed to activate the dri in a similar hardware or do you know if it's possible? any suggestions or observations that could put me in the right direction are very welcome since I'm running out of ideas here...
Thanks in advance for your time,
Jo

Following my previous post, here is what I found by setting LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose:

Quote:
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/i915_dri.so
libGL error: dlopen /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/i915_dri.so failed (/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/i915_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
libGL error: unable to load driver: i915_dri.so
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/swrast_dri.so
libGL error: dlopen /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/swrast_dri.so failed (/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/swrast_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so
libGL error: reverting to indirect rendering
Any ideas...?

... and a symbolic link to the correct location of the driver, resolved my previous problem:
