Dear Prayag,

Here is the result to the link you provided

[root@localhost ~]# rpm -ivh http://packages.sw.be/dynagen/dynage....rf.noarch.rpm
Retrieving http://packages.sw.be/dynagen/dynage....rf.noarch.rpm
error: skipping http://packages.sw.be/dynagen/dynage....rf.noarch.rpm - transfer failed - Unknown or unexpected error
warning: u 0x8dab828 ctrl 0x93f3e50 nrefs != 0 (packages.sw.be http)
[root@localhost ~]#

Sir, kindly tell me what did you mean by not direct path ? when i opened my link in new tab, it simply gave me the option to save it to disk (means download). When i used the same link with wget it worked properly. Why its not working with rpm only ? pls explain i will be really grateful

Hi that link works on my centos box.I am just trying to see why your rpm coammand doesnt work.It works fine every where.Try installing any rpm from cd/dvd or downlaoded one.

Just ensure rpm command works fine on your system.

Why dont you just download the above file on your system with wget or some download manager and then install it manually using rpm -ivh?
Also you need to be sure about the dependencies of the package. YUM should not be too helpful as you are using too old a distribution. Repos may be down.
