You have to define a new installation source before starting autoupdate and move it to the top.

I am not that new to linux, but the auoupdater keeps telling there are problems with the ftp-servers.

solved. i bought a cd from a magazine with a small v9.0 version of suse.
that one i installed over a freshly formatted hd, and then i downloaded all rpms from the suse-vault.

now i have 2595 rpms in one folder but how do i install them ?

because i dont live so long, to install every single rpm with yast, one by one, not mentioning the packet dependencies.

isnt there a way to tell the system to install from that folder ?
i think i need some kind of packet information index.
