downloading slackware?
 
how do i download slackware? i know go to www.slackware.com but i go to their mirror sites and i go to both FTP and HTTP listings and i found all the files, do i really have to right click all the files and then burn them onto CD;s or how?

Some mirrors don't have the ISOs for Slack 10.1. One that does is this one. There aren't ISOs for "Current" yet, so if you want to use that, then yeah, you'll need to get all the packages you want, etc (as the documentation says).

If you wait some days there should be Slackware 10.2 out, I hope. It's first Beta was announced on the 4th of august, so if you can wait a short time ...

Actually one of the best places to download just about any distro (Slackware included) is right here at the LQO ISO page.

I'm also eagerly awaiting the newest release of Slack, I do hope it comes out soon (whether it's 10.2 or 11), even if it doesn't include GNOME.

I just bought a snappy new laptop. I can't wait to install Slack 10.2 and watch it go at the speed of sound...
